The problem

Content calendars, creative assets and channel activity were scattered across spreadsheets and folders, with no single place to see what was going out, what had gone out, or what it did.

What was built

A workspace-scoped platform covering six networks: Facebook Pages, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Threads. Account connection with encrypted token storage, a media library with per-network compatibility checks and nested folders, a composer that adapts one post per network with live validation and duplicate detection, posting queues and a scheduler, a publishing worker, an inbox for comments, messages and reviews, approvals and team roles, an analytics dashboard with CSV export, and a metered AI assistant. Backed by a 48-model PostgreSQL schema behind Prisma. Renamed from Social Suite to Broadlark in September 2026 and moved onto its own domain, broadlark.com.

The engineering decision

The recommendation engine is the part worth pointing at, because of what it refuses to do. Best-times-to-post ranks only the hours the account has actually posted at. It will not invent an hour that has never been tried, and when it has fewer than ten posts to reason from it says so instead of producing a confident number. In October 2026 the whole platform moved off Vercel and a hosted database onto a self-managed server (Docker containers behind Caddy, PostgreSQL, media on Cloudflare R2, email on a verified domain) while the old vercel.app address stays alive as a redirect, because that is the address registered with TikTok, Meta and Google sign-in.

  1. 01

    Data model

Workspaces, members and roles, connected accounts, media, posts and per-network variants, queues, inbox and analytics in one PostgreSQL schema through Prisma.

  2. 02

    Connecting accounts

OAuth sign-in for each network, with access tokens encrypted with AES-GCM before they touch the database.

  3. 03

    Compose and schedule

One post adapted per network with live validation, duplicate detection, media compatibility checks, posting queues and a scheduler that a background worker publishes from.

  4. 04

    Inbox, approvals and analytics

Comments, messages and reviews in one inbox, approval steps for teams, analytics with CSV export, and best-time recommendations that refuse to guess.

  5. 05

    Rename and move

Renamed from Social Suite to Broadlark with its own domain, then migrated from Vercel and a hosted database to a self-managed VPS in Docker, with media on Cloudflare R2 and email on a verified domain.
